He is survived by: his wife Bertha Avery of Pineville; and his daughters, Theresa Fisher of Lafayette, Diana Parker of Arlington, TX, Ruth Burdges of Shreveport, Maria Carroll (Paul) of Des Moines and Shawn Wallace (Mickey) of Pineville. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
