He was predeceased by: his parents, Empress Augustus and Anita Sennett Augustus; and his siblings, Ernest J. Augustus, William Empress Augustus, Arthur Lane Augustus and Rose Anna Mouton.
He is survived by: his wife Audrey Augustus of Duson, LA; his son Ronald Joseph Augustus, Jr. (Markal) of Fort Worth, TX; his grandchildren, Morgan Karleen Hill (Oliver) of Fort Worth, TX and Ava Camille Augustus of Fort Worth, TX; and his great grandchild Rayael Hill. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Syrie Funeral Home (1417 E Simcoe St, Lafayette, LA 70501). A rosary will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Benedict de Moor Catholic Church (9135 Cameron St, Duson, LA 70529).
