He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Best and Theresa Best; and his siblings, Terri Taormina and Timothy "Tim" Best. He is survived by: his wife Holly Ann Best; his sons, Patrick Best, Cyrus Best, Jack Burns and Nicholas Best; his grandchildren, Augustine Best and Annabeth Best; his brother Edward Best (Debby); his brother-in-law Leonard Oakes (Lisa); and his pet Maggie. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, March 30th 2026 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cypress Funeral Home (206 W Lafayette St, Maurice, LA 70555). A rosary was held on Sunday, March 29th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, March 30th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
