He was predeceased by: his mother Bessie Patterson. He is survived by: his wife Jerry Patterson of Lafayette; his daughters, Esheala Patterson Williams (Robert) of Houston, TX., Sandy Smith of Carencro and Sharon Page of Cecilia; his brother Byron Phillips of Houston, TX.; and his grandchildren, Lonnie Stewart (Alexandria), Darious Patterson (Roshundra), Rodney Smith, Lamond Hutchinson, Jeremiah Campbell, Deangelique Davis (Michael), Betty Faye Patterson and Michala Patterson. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 11th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Melancon Funeral Home (4117 N University Ave, Carencro, LA 70520). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
