It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rose Mae Stovall (Lafayette, Louisiana), born in Broussard, Louisiana, who passed away on January 14, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Batiste and Edna Andrus Batiste; her siblings, Harrison Batiste, Priscilla Robertson and Goldie Thomas; and her nieces and nephews, Priscilla Yvette Thomas, Pamela Wilkerson-Wright, David Wayne Martin, Harrison John Murray and Timothy Paul Robertson.
She is survived by: her sister Alma Martin of Port Arthur, TX; her children, Sharon Brown (Roy) of Elkton, MD and Glenn Stovall (Angela) of Houston, TX; her grandchildren, Monique B. Alexander of Lafayette, LA, Jason Batiste (Stacy) of Bryan, TX, Jeffrey McNeil (Jacqueline) of Houston, TX, Ivy Gary (Jacolby), Glenn Cardell Stovall of Youngsville, LA, Robert Brown of Elkton, MD, Milton Brown of Houston, TX, Melinda Bridges (Jonathan) of Houston, TX and Jessica Holmes (Komonta) of Houston, TX; her niece Consuella Guidry; and her great grandchildren, Brittney Sanders, Dwight Alexander and Bethany Alexander.
