She is survived by: her children, Wanda Alex (Paul) of Lafayette, LA, Brenda Chevis of Lafayette, LA and John Chevis (LaQuinta) of Cankton, LA; her brother Jessie Thomas (Jacqueline) of Lafayette, LA; her grandchildren, Danielle, Brandon Chevis, Odessa, Lesley, LaChanta', Aleahi, Jada, Leighton and Olivia Chevis; her cousins, Mary Celestine and Tyrone Tine; her great grandchildren, Caven Phillips, Nyah Chevis, Trevionna, Laila, Trevor Jr. Pradia, Kayson, Karsen Joseph and Dantralin Arceneaux; her siblings-in-law, Emily Sam of Houston, TX, Ida Chevis of Houston, TX, Charles of Houston, TX, Eugene of Houston, TX and Ray Chevis of Houston, TX; and her godchildren, Jessie Thomas, Arnold Sam, Craig Sonnier and Carolyn Ellis.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Syrie Funeral Home from 10:30 a. m. until 12:30 p. m. All those in attendance must wear masks or face coverings.
