For Ruby is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her husband Bernell W. Koch; her parents, Clifford Bergeron and Marjorie Hebert Bergeron; and her granddaughter Jett Alison Sellers. She is survived by: her children, Phyllis K. DeHart of Abbeville, Terrell Wayne Koch (Cheryl) of New Iberia, Midge Koch Keller (John) of Mandeville and Madge Koch Sellers (Clay) of Cow Island; and her siblings, Norman Bergeron, Larry Bergeron (Bonnie) of Abbeville and Janis Dubois of Meaux. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
A rosary was held on Saturday, January 31st 2026 at 1:30 PM at the St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church (300 Pere Megret St, Abbeville, LA 70510). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, January 31st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the St. Mary Magdalen Church (300 Pere Megret St, Abbeville, LA 70510).
