It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Russell Broussard of Lafayette, Louisiana, who passed away on February 28, 2026, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emile Broussard and Zada Quebodeaux Broussard; and his siblings, Algernon Broussard (Cho), Betty Guidry, Lawrence Broussard, Harold Broussard, Glynn Broussard, Vickye Fruge and Vivian Elaine Louviere.

He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Blackwell Broussard; his children, Russell D. Broussard and Deborah Broussard (Maurice Broussard); and his grandchildren, Joshua Broussard and Camille Broussard (Trevor Navarre). He is also survived by his brother-in-law; his sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Fountain Memorial Funeral Home (1010 Pandora St, Lafayette, LA 70506). A rosary will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Fountain Memorial Funeral Home & Cemetery (1010 Pandora St, Lafayette, LA 70506). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Fountain Memorial Funeral Home (1010 Pandora St, Lafayette, LA 70506).
