He is survived by: his son Stanley Phillips Carmouche (Theresa) of Murrieta, CA; his former wife Betty Gibson Phillips of Houston; his stepchildren, Brient Gibson, Lathanya Gibson and Latrechia Gibson of Houston; his sisters, Betty P. Guiang of Houston, Carrie P. Angel (Edward) and Lula P. Trahan of Lafayette; his sister-in-law Earline Phillips of Lafayette; and his caregiver James Ferdinand, Jr. of St. Martinville. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
