He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira S. Couvillion and Sadie Bordelon; his wife Mary Gail Sigur Couvillion; and his brother Gary Couvillion. He is survived by: his sons, Ira Couvillion of Lafayette, LA and Phillip Couvillion (Aarti Surti) of Morristown, NJ; his grandson Sahil Couvillion; and his siblings, Wayne, Craig, Scotty Couvillion, Audrey Duplechein, Donna Simoneaux, Angelique Couvillion and Mary Dye.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Delhomme Funeral Home - Lafayette (1011 Bertrand Dr, Lafayette, LA 70506). A rosary will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers (1011 Bertrand Dr, Lafayette, LA 70506). A burial will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery (2111 W Pinhook Rd, Lafayette, LA 70508).
