He was predeceased by: his parents, George C. Gietl and Jeanne E. Gietl (Brink); and his brother George E. Gietl. He is survived by: his children, Sandra Gietl (Shawn Smith) and Jason Gietl (Beth); his granddaughter Charlotte Gietl; and his brother Mike Gietl (Sung Hui Gietl). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
