He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Sonny and Mildred Myers Moncla; his siblings, Kenneth Moncla and Millie Young; his nephew Scott Moncla; his parents-in-law, Perry and Lois Prosper Decuir, Sr.; and his brothers-in-law, Timothy Decuir and Joel Palmer.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Decuir Moncla; his children, Michelle Mills (Denver) and Kevin Moncla; his granddaughters, Hope Vernon (Jessie) and Anna Moncla; his siblings-in-law, Girdie Moncla, Andrea "Andy" Palmer, Laurie Barake (Ali), Virginia Shea (Jimmy), Richard Young, Perry Decuir, Jr. (Jennifer) and Tom Decuir (Tess); his caregivers, Vivian, Shae, Michelle and Ronnie; Virginia Shea and Laurie Barake (Andy Palmer).
