She was predeceased by: her son John Michael Benjamin; her parents, John Thomas and Annabelle Flugence; her siblings, Donald Benjamin, Leo George Benjamin, Patsy Ann Benjamin, Eugena Mae Benjamin and Dora Mary Senegal; her grandparents, Rose, Walter Thomas, Lionel and Evelyn Lee Flugence; her brothers-in-law, Murphy Edmond, James Andrus and Deforris Richard; her siblings' children, Detricka Gary, Helen Johnlouis and Liney Ryes; and her great-nephews, Samuel Gary Jr. and Jacadien Edwards.
She is survived by: her grandchild Tracy; her children, Shantelle "Scotty" Comeaux, Gladys Benjamin, Michaela Benjamin, Devin Benjamin, Kennedy Mouton III and Dabralus Flugence; her siblings, Connie Benjamin, Anisa Edmond, Joann Benjamin, Brenda Benjamin, Cora "Samuel" Johnlouis, Patrick Benjamin, Paul Benjamin, Barbara Duhon, Debra Watson and Michael Senegal; her godchildren, Travean Cobb and Kyjiah Edmond; and her close friends, Wendy of Washington, Joyce of Washington, Lisa George and Iris George. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, five great grandchildren.
