We are sad to announce that on April 25, 2025, at the age of 82, Virginia Beard Lester of Lafayette, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kline Grigsby and Edwina Grigsby (Syme); her sister Elizabeth G. Ford (Willis Dozier Lester III); and her children, John Christian Fricke and Christine Diane Fricke.
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Spencer (Don) of Alexandria, VA, Marilyn Fricke of Sherwood, AR, Barbara Sugg (Keith) of Little Rock, AR, Mark Fricke of Gulfport, MS and Simone Beard of Lafayette, LA.; her grandchildren, Jay (Jennifer), Kristen, Max, Delaney, Aubrey, Andrew, Christine (Sean), Julian (Mia), Sophia and Gracie; her great grandchildren, Audia, Graham and Savannah; and her cocker spaniel Jessica.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in her memory to Arkansas Hospice or the American Diabetes Association.
