We are sad to announce that, on March 19, 2026, at the age of 92, Wallace John Hernandez Jr. (Lafayette, Louisiana) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace John Hernandez, Sr. and Iris Robert; his wife Edwina Smith Hernandez; his sister Geraldine Hernandez Morel; and his son-in-law Jeff Wild.
He is survived by: his children, Janet Wild, Michael Hernandez (Brooks Dufrene) and Paul Hernandez (Mika); his grandchildren, Christina Wild Lyons (Nicholas), Matthew Wild (Samantha), Allison Wild, Ezra, Ian, Preston, Cohen, Pierce, Noah, Esther and Ava Hernandez; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Audrey Wild, Bennett and Elliott Lyons; and his siblings, Frank Robert Hernandez and Jeanne Hernandez Bacon. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
