He was predeceased by: his parents, William Newton and Yola Newton; his wife Rose Mary Newton; and his siblings, Joseph, Henry "Poochie", Ambrose, Golden Newton, Verna Hardy, Rita August, Gladys Sam, Mary, Leona and Jeanette Newton.

He is survived by: his children, William Newton, Vacaville, Myron, Anthony Newton and Shelia. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
