He was predeceased by: his son Joshua William Haase; his parents, William Haase and Marie Elina Benoit; and his wife Renee Bullock. He is survived by: his children, Rachel Burke (Rene) of Loreauville and Nathan Haase (Laci) of Carencro; his grandchildren, William Burke, Lily Burke, Chloe Burke and Gunnar Haase; his siblings-in-law, Elvin Bullock (Janice) of Lafayette, Kathleen Rush of Lafayette and Bonnie Thayer of Lafayette; his close friends, Jim and Charlotte Gifford of Missouri; and his friends, Wilson Prejean of Carencro and John Manning of Lafayette. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Melancon Funeral Home Chapel (4117 N University Ave, Carencro, LA 70520). A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
