He was predeceased by: his parents, Gabriel Simon and Estella Cormier Simon; his wife Dorothy Simon; his grandchildren, Jered Hoffpauir and Ryan LaVergne; and his sisters, Mildred Page, Mamie Mier and Beatrice Mier.
He is survived by: his daughters, Judy Simon, Pat Broussard (JW), Brenda "Porkchop" Simon and Katherine Dupuis (Patrick); and his grandchildren, Johnny LaVergne (Jill), Heather Doucet (Kenny), Shawntele Simon, Alison Dupuis and Aaron Dupuis (Virginia). He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Miguez Funeral Home - Lake Arthur (829 4th St, Lake Arthur, LA 70549). A rosary will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 2:45 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 3:45 PM to 4:00 PM at the Andrus Cove Cemetery.
