David Leonard Sims Obituary
In loving memory of David Leonard Sims of Lake Charles, Louisiana, who departed this world on November 12, 2025 at the age of 84. David leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard "Fuzzy" Sims and Mary Lucille Sims; and his wife Brenda Hanchey. He is survived by: his children, Rick Sims (Kaysha), Elese Sims Prejean (Kenny), Cory Sims and Julie McWard Rogers (Tony); and his grandchildren, Savannah, Evan, Hanna, Keighan, Conner, David, Austin, Abbey, Ava, Meghan and Jillian.
Viewing was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Trinity Baptist Church (1800 Country Club Rd, Lake Charles, LA 70605). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location.
