She was predeceased by: her parents, Elza James and Minnie Pearl Marcantel Clement; and her son Chad William Elter. She is survived by: her husband Charles William Elter; her grandsons, Davis Charles Elter of Lafayette and Henry William Elter of Lafayette; and her siblings, Arden Clement (Betty), Rena Fuselier, Jennings and Veronica Sonnier (Leland).
