Gary Scroggs Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Scroggs (Lake Charles, Louisiana), who passed away on September 14, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Kirby Scroggs and Dorothy LaBorde Scroggs; his wife Deannie Arnaud Scroggs; his children, Dr. Matthew Scroggs (Kim), Elizabeth Scroggs-Svitilla (Robert) and Judith Tilly (John Wesley); his grandchildren, Anna Williams, Emily Scroggs, Ella Scroggs, Betsy Scroggs, Caroline Tilly, Mary Grace Tilly, Julia Tilly and Jacob Tilly; his great grandchild Dominic Williams; his siblings, Marilyn Cloutier and Phil Scroggs; his daughter-in-law Kim Scroggs; Henry and Nordine Arnaud. He was also cherished by his grandchildren and his great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home (4321 Lake St, Lake Charles, LA 70605). A rosary was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church (3939 Lake St, Lake Charles, LA 70605).
