We announce the death of Gregory Franklin (Lake Charles, Louisiana), who passed away on July 31, 2026, at the age of 62. He was predeceased by: his father Oscar Franklin; his stepfather Jerry Mack; his grandparents, Joseph and Tallie Mae Thibodeaux; his uncle Joseph Thibodeaux Jr.; and his aunt Debra Simmons (Dwayne).
He is survived by: his mother Ruby Thibodeaux Franklin of Richmond; his children, Gregory P. Franklin Jr. (Toni) of Lafayette, Andreana Franklin of Rosharon, Jesse D. Franklin Sr. (Mikayla) of Columbus and Davilyn Dunning of Lake Charles; the mother of his children Angie Ben-Deville of Lake Charles; his sisters, Traci D. Mack of Richmond and Staci D. Mack of Richmond; and his godmother Geraldine Bell. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
