She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Hanchett and Margaret Gobert; and her sister Joyce Vlorie. She is survived by: her children, Marilyn Etienne (Charles) of New Orleans, LA., Marvin Jermaine Etienne (Lizelle) of Silver Spring, MD. and Dr. Marcus Etienne (LaKia) of Lake Charles, LA.; her siblings, Audrey Polk, Juston Drake (Sera) of Lake Charles, LA. and Tommie Martin of Lake Charles, LA.; and her grandchildren, Madison Etienne, Charlynn Collins and Mason Etienne. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church (119 N Bank St, Lake Charles, LA 70601). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
