She was predeceased by: her parents, Derwood Vandever and Anna Vandever. She is survived by: her sons, Ben (Laurie) and James Michael (Mandi); her granddaughters, Emma Catherine Burk of Baton Rouge and Olivia Anna Burk of Ragley; and her siblings, Donna Karen Vandever Yelverton of Baton Rouge, Ken Vandever (Claudia), Joel Vandever of Lake Charles and David Vandever (Jackie) of Lake Charles. She is also survived by Oma, and sister, cherishing her extended family of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home (4321 Lake St, Lake Charles, LA 70605).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office Animal Control.
