He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Mike Hedlesky and Wanda Hedlesky; and his uncles, David Hedlesky and Michael Hedlesky. He is survived by: his parents, Steven Hedlesky and Dianna Lynn Dearden; his siblings, Drew Hedlesky, Wade Hedlesky, Taylor Hedlesky, Andrew Hedlesky, Philip Hedlesky and Emily Hedlesky; and his son Trevor Hedlesky (Bianca Renee Fowler).

Memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Foundation OR the Autism Society of America.

“Luke was unique. He was fearless and wild. I have lots of good memories with him and he's one of those people who NEVER did you wrong. My favorite memories of Luke are him being an absolute FORCE on defense in flag football. He was so good at it. He was fast as heck and his ability to swiftly pull your flag was unparallelled. I thought he was the best defensive player in the whole league, driving all those kids wild and sacking quarterbacks. See you again one day..”
