She was predeceased by: her parents, John Acklin and India Lou Hoffpauir Petry; and her brothers, Ralph Huey, Granville Dale and Kenneth Lamar.
She is survived by: her brother Artie (Martha) of Sulphur; her daughter Judith C. Trotti; her adoptive daughter Rene'; her son Anthony Fontenot of Moss Bluff; her grandchildren, Ty, Madison and Abby; and her sister-in-law Linda Royer Petry LaFleur of Maplewood. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Moss Bluff Pentecostal Church (999 Sam Houston Jones Pkwy, Lake Charles, LA 70611). Viewing will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Magolia Cemetery (1100 McKinley St, Westlake, LA 70669).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Moss Bluff Pentecostal Church or a charity of your choice.
