She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Robinson and Zora Mouton Robinson; her husband Donald Chavis Sr.; her son Cary Chavis; and her siblings, Charles Edward Robinson, L. C. Robinson, Lloyd Robinson, Bertha Robinson and Charlene Robinson.
She is survived by: her son Donald W. Chavis Jr.; her grandchild Toneka Robinson; her siblings, Brenda F. Robinson, Shirley Guillory, Carleen Lee, David Robinson, Floyd Robinson (Barbara), Louis Robinson, Donald Ray Robinson and Harold Robinson (Janis); and her godchildren, J. C. Guillory and Mauriana Robinson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was a LaSip Fellow working in Baton Rouge and co presented at the National Science Foundation.
