He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Mitchel Bono and Mary Elizabeth Blackwell Bono; his brother Dr. Richard "Bud" Bono; and his son Rick Bono. He is survived by: his wife Marion Vallery Bono; his son Mike J. Bono (Lisa); and his grandchildren, Cory, Anne Marie and Emily.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hixson Funeral Home. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 12:45 PM at the Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church (3939 Lake St, Lake Charles, LA 70605).
