It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Octavia Dotson in Lake Charles, Louisiana, who passed away on May 13, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Harris and Viola Willis Harris; her husband William "Billy" Dotson; her brothers, Elder "Buddy" Harris, Albert "Bootsie" Harris and Horace McDonald; and her stepmother Annie Harris.
She is survived by: her daughters, Gayla Abshire (Allen) and Jayne Muzzy (Wayne); her grandchildren, Lane Saucier, Megan Saucier (Jason Stanley), Justin Benevage (Emily), Michael Muzzy, Jeff Muzzy, Jason Abshire (Meagan), Jerod Abshire (Laryn) and Brandon Abshire (Sarah); her great grandchildren, Jayne Carter, Alice Stanley, Adele, Dotson, Lola, Remi Benevage, Keslyn, Addilyn, Emersyn Abshire, Meredith, Jason Abshire, Jr. and Henry Abshire; and her sister Doris Vaughn (Mike).
