He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Cezar Ware and Ivan Brown, Sr.; his stepfather Bennie Ware; his brothers, Ivan "Bud" Jr., Wardell, Eleck, Kenny Wayne and Aaron Fowlkes; his parents-in-law, Ollie Mae Johnson, Lennix Johnson and Chris Johnson; and his siblings-in-law, Faye Johnson, Dallas Bardell and Peter Linton.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Johnson Brown; his daughters, Tianay Sherman (Kimani) and Deirdre Bacon; his grandchildren, Kaia and Kade Sherman; his siblings, Doris Paul (Eddie), Suzanne Deville, Victor Ware (Amber), Donald Reed and Wesley Roy (Audrey); his sisters-in-law, Beverly Gauff (Carey), Susan Bridges (Harry), Tanya Johnson, Cynthia Bardell and Pamela Linton; his extended family Gloria Duhe; and his godchildren, Tony Brown, Dawn Sims and Charmaine Turpeau. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
