It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Dale Moreno of Lake Charles, Louisiana, who passed away on March 2, 2026, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Mercica Moreno and Elsie Mae Savant; and his brother David Neal Moreno. He is survived by: his wife Mary Melanie Denton Moreno; his daughter Victoria Moreno-Jackson (Cullen) of Greer, SC; his grandchildren, Connor Dale Jackson and Riordan Melaine Jackson; and his siblings, Kenneth Michael Moreno (Beryl), Marc Anthony Moreno, Louis Norman Moreno (Donna), Evelyn Anderson, Patrick Keith Moreno and Shirley Faye Moreno White (David). He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, March 6th 2026 from 8:00 AM to 8:45 AM at the Johnson Funeral Home (4321 Lake St, Lake Charles, LA 70605). A rosary was held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home - Lake Charles (4321 Lake St, Lake Charles, LA 70605). A Mass was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (935 Bilbo St, Lake Charles, LA 70601).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception or your favorite charity.
