He was predeceased by: his parents, Ida Smith and Jimmy Smith; his wife Leona Smith; and his siblings, Leo Smith Sr., James Smith and Cevelia Smith.
He is survived by: his brother Johnny "Ricky" Smith; and his children, David Smith Andrea Lewis (Lisa), Shari Bellow Bryan Smith (Hal) and Gary Smith. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, along with extended family.
