With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert James Chandler Sr. of Lake Charles, Louisiana, born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 2, 2025 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Louise and Perry Neil Chandler. He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Tricia" Chandler; his children, Robert James Chandler Jr. (Allison Reynolds), John Neil Chandler (Jenny Che Lee), Karen Marie Chandler, Paul Brian Chandler (Rebecca Ellender), Chantel Faye Chandler, Suzanne Nicole Santiago (Carlos) and Michele Reed; his grandchildren, Jared Rawl Chandler (Carrie Michelle), Jacob Cole Chandler (Kathleen Marguerite), John "Jack" Robert Chandler (Kayla Paige), Michael Sonnier, David Sonnier, Brandon Danford, Joshua Danford, Xander Santiago, Ashley Haney and Cameron Reed; his great grandchildren, Michael "M. J." Sonnier of Elias, Grace Sonnier, Beckham Cole Chandler, Charlie Marguerite Chandler, John Rhys Chandler, Naomi Blake Chandler, Koen Danford, Belle Bernthal, Daniel Danford, Ayden Cantu and Haney; and his son-in-law Ruben Reed.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Hixson Funeral Homes of Lake Charles (3001 Ryan St, Lake Charles, LA 70601). A rosary will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM.
