She was predeceased by : her mothers, O'neil Duplichain and Alice Green Duplichain; her former life partner Patrick C. Duhon; her husband Dr. Halloway Sells; her son Gregory Duhon; her sister Youramae Kennerson; and her grandson Donovan Duhon.

She is survived by : her children, Dr. Alice Duhon-Ross, Dr. Gwendolyn Duhon, Dr. Glendolyn Duhon and Patrick C. Duhon, Jr. (Kendra Williams); her sisters, Dr. Mary Addison (Joseph) and Theresa Savoie (Francis); and her grandchildren, Grace Haynes McVea (Norris), Whitney Taylor (Ian), Britney Duhon, Charles P. Viney (LaShawn), Jordan Jeanlouis (Lacey) and Allison Lara (Jose). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, April 13th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Johnson Funeral Home (4321 Lake St, Lake Charles, LA 70605). A rosary was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church (5495 Elliott Rd, Lake Charles, LA 70605). A burial was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the St. John Berchmans Cemetery (552 Main St, Cankton, LA 70584).
