As Taris departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Taris. Though Taris may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas E. Laymond Jr. and Ruby Smith Laymond; and her brothers, Thomas E. Laymond III and Derrick E. Laymond. She is survived by: her siblings, Shelita Laymond, Seanna Laymond, Yoshia Maxwell (Christopher) and Gerarl Laymond; and her aunt Gay McIntosh. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the James Funeral Home (1801 Moeling St, Lake Charles, LA 70601).
