Wayne Andrew Gros Obituary

We announce the death of Wayne Andrew Gros of Lake Charles, Louisiana, who passed away on September 1, 2026, at the age of 85. Wayne will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his father Wilfred "Fred" Gros (Fred); his wife Mary Elaine Gros; his son Whitney Michael Gros; his mother Pearline Wilford LaBove; his stepparents, Adam LaBove (Doray) and Marji Gros; and his siblings, Robert Gros, David Gros and Brenda LaBove (Bernice Coleman).

He is survived by: his children, Dana Jett, Christy Gros and Matthew Gros (Pamela); his grandchildren, Whitney Barrow (Kyle), Tyler Robertson (Shelby), Sydney Grigsby (Cory), Addison Jett, Elijah Myers (Annie), Ethan Green, Isabella Gros, Mikaela Gros and Angela Gros; his great grandchildren, Kamry Matte, Olivia Matte, Harley Courville, Myla Barrow, Madyn Barrow, Mack Barrow, Charlee Robertson, Landon Pitts and Lennon Robertson; and his brother George LaBove (Jackie). He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home (4321 Lake St, Lake Charles, LA 70605). A rosary was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home - Lake Charles (4321 Lake St, Lake Charles, LA 70605). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home (4321 Lake St, Lake Charles, LA 70605).
