With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wayne F. McElveen of Lake Charles, Louisiana, who passed away on December 8, 2025 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Wayne F. McElveen to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Anderson McElveen Sr. and Joyce Elaine Fisher McElveen. He is survived by: his brother Andy; his wife Linda Faye LaBauve McElveen; his brother George Anderson McElveen Jr. (Brenda); his children, Wayne McElveen II (Susan), David McElveen (Alicia), Richard McElveen and Joyce "Michele" Bates (Brian); his grandchildren, Conner McElveen, Emily Beville (Logan), Macy Karam (Jordan), Mia McElveen, Olivia McElveen, Skylar McElveen, Shannon Dirman (Barker) and Brett J. Bates (Amanda); and his great grandchildren, Eleanor, Beau, Mary Scott and Abigail.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Trinity Baptist Church (1800 Country Club Rd, Lake Charles, LA 70605). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to The Boys' Village Foundation.
