He was predeceased by: his parents, Peggy Paula Petit (William Clouet Dering) and Marine; his sisters, Diane Agnes Williams and Paula Mae Dering; and his daughter-in-law Brandi Dering.
He is survived by: his wife Kaye Louise Moore Dering; his sons, James Troy Dering, Jeremy Paul Dering (Allison) and William Brett Dering (Lindsay); his sister Kim Vaughan (Roy); and his grandchildren, Darian, Harrison, Nina, Margaret, Finley Anne, Palmer and Louis.
Viewing will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Johnson Funeral Home (4321 Lake St, Lake Charles, LA 70605). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
