He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Everard and Mabel Dunn Gardiner; his former wives, Marcia Piel Gardiner and Ouida Burkamp Gardiner; and his brother-in-law Richard Stillwell.
He is survived by: his wife Dr. Judy C. Gardiner; his stepsons, Keith Bordelon of New Orleans, LA, David Burkamp (Erin) of Fort Worth and William Burkamp (Tracy) of Hickory; his sister Wanda Sarah Stillwell of Philadelphia, PA; his granddaughters, Elizabeth Burkamp Plott (Dawson) and Emily Burkamp; and his brother-in-law Dennis Carter (Sue) of Cecilia, LA..
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Johnson Funeral Home - Lake Charles (4321 Lake St, Lake Charles, LA 70605). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home (4321 Lake St, Lake Charles, LA 70605). A reception will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St Paul Lutheran Church (1620 E Prien Lake Rd, Lake Charles, LA 70601).
