She was predeceased by: her parents, Mause Freeman Sr. and Bernadette Freeman; her husband Samuel Marks Sr.; and her sisters, Rose Mary Thomas, Eula Mae Robinson, Margaret Allison, Nellouise Bailey and Priscilla Stevens.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley Robinson (Auto) of Rosenberg, TX, Angela Scott (Andrew) of Sugar Land, TX and Samuel Marks Jr. (Carlas) of Richmond, TX; her brother Moise Freeman Jr. of Missouri City, TX; her grandchildren, Markus, Bailey, Joshua, Mark III, Donavan, Dontae, Khaila, Daniel, Tytiana, Aaliyah, Michelle, Lashonda and Lonnie; and her godchildren, Shelia Stewart and Christianity Doyle. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Mount Calvary Baptist Church (300 N Blake St, Lake Charles, LA 70601). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
