He was loved and cherished by many people including: his daughter Gabrielle "Gabby" Jacqueline Oubre; his parents, James "Toot" Oubre and Sandra Vilemont Oubre; his sister Dawn Schexnayder (Michael); and his sibling's children, Ryan Monica, Lauren Dye, Catherine Masters, Erin Bourgeois and Shannon Monica.

Visitation was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church (529 W 5th St, Laplace, LA 70068). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
