With solemn reverence, we commemorate Lawrence Izeal Sims of Laplace, Louisiana, whose life came to an end on July 20, 2025 at the age of 64, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva Mae Jones and Otis Sims; and his brother David Jones. He is survived by: his wife Jerilyn Edwards Sims; his children, Tyeka Clark, Laquelia Richard and Nicole Jones; his stepchildren, Neal Songy Jr. and Trena'Songy; his sister Ada Farlough; and his nephews, Edwin and Darwin Farlough. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the New Wine Christian Fellowship (1929 W Airline Hwy, Laplace, LA 70068). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Lawrence was a hard worker, working all over the surrounding areas at Ochsner Foundation in New Orleans, St. Charles Borromeo in Destrehan, and Advance Auto here in Laplace.
