He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles L. Slade and Thelma R. Slade; and his brother Curtis B. Slade. He is survived by: his wife Debra L. Slade; his children, Scarlet Griffin (Danny) and Ryan Slade; his brother Craig V. Slade; and his grandchildren, Marisa Slade, Aleeza Griffin, Leland Griffin and Leighton Slade.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Rosary Church (12911 E Main St, Larose, LA 70373). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at the Holy Rosary Cemetery (12911 E Main St, Larose, LA 70373).
