He was predeceased by: his parents, J. W. Tyler, Sr. and Bernice "Bea" Tyler; and his brother Jimmy Tyler. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn L. Tyler; his children, William Tyler (Ritchie) and Wendy Tyler Hensley (Jeff); his grandchildren, Cady Hensley and Kara Hensley; and his brother Calvin "Chuck" Tyler (Cynthia).
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the American Legion Hall (921 Veterans St, Lockport, LA 70374). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
