It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Carter Jr. of Lecompte, Louisiana, who passed away on November 8, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, John H. Sr. Carter and Josie Morrison Carter; and his sister Irma Catherine Goulas. He is survived by : his children, Jim Carter (Pixie) of Lafayette, Lori Vanderlick of Zavalla, TX and Kristi Butler (Ricky) of Woodworth; his sister Corinne Manning (Marinus) of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Daniel Vanderlick (Jami), Lauren Carter, Jacob Butler, Julie Butler and Janna Butler; his great grandchildren, Peyton McIntyre and Landry McIntyre; his grandsons, Carson McIntyre and Cameron Carter; his cousin Brett Stagg; and his friend David Ross. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
