She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Ashworth and Betty Ashworth; her husband Bobby Benson; her sister Lonnie Sue Thomas; and her great grandchild Tyler Benson.
She is survived by: her children, Lissy "Liz" Berry (Johnny) of Leesville, LA, Shonda Speight of Leesville, LA, Brenda Benson of Leesville, LA, Billy Benson of Leesville, LA and Bradley Benson (Tabitha) of Leesville, LA; her stepson Bobby Benson; and her siblings, Sam Ashworth of Leesville, LA, Bonita Berry (Mike) of Leesville, LA, Charline Canady of Leesville, LA and Tammy Vincent of El Paso, TX. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the First United Pentecostal Church of Leesville (101 Nolan Trace, Leesville, LA 71446). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
