She was predeceased by: her husband Edwin Massey; her son Larry Massey; and her grandchildren, Joshua Massey and Dominique Massey. She is survived by: her children, Paul Massey (Debby) of DeRidder, LA, Mike Massey (Leslie) of Franklin, LA and Linda Dessommes (Charles) of St. Francisville, Louisiana.; and her brother Roger Williams of Raleigh. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Diamond Baptist Church (151 Diamond Church Rd, DeRidder, LA 70634).
Having lost a son to a Cobra helicopter crash in an NTC training rotation, she felt that her contribution to training our military men and women before deployment might prevent another mother from experiencing the same loss.
