Elmer leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Elmer’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Theron, Mary Willis, Herman Murphy and Marrietta Fussell Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Fussell of Leesville, LA; his children, Samuel Fussell of Leesville, LA and Brittainy Fussell (Kadin) of Lake Charles, LA; his grandchildren, Ryder Black and Amelia Black; and his mother Jacqueline Maher of Grapeland, TX.
The military honors will be held on Monday, November 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery (3348 University Pkwy, Leesville, LA 71446).
