He was predeceased by: his former wife Shirley Green Porter; his parents, Forrest Porter and Jerry Oleta Hammond Porter; and his sister Phyllis Miller. He is survived by: his wife Madeline Porter of Leesville, LA; his children, Matthew Porter (Faith), Angela Porter and Summer Porter; and his niece Lucinda Boughner. He is also survived by five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
