It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jimmie Harrell Evans Sr. (Leesville, Louisiana), born in Jena, Louisiana, who passed away on April 16, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Lonnie R. Evans and Gladys M. Evans (Windham); his brothers, Donnald Evans and Leo Evans; and his son Leonard Evans.

He is survived by : his former life partner Sharon Grace Ford; his wife Bobbie; his siblings, Lavelle Evans, Lonnie Jr. (Rhonda Evans) and Shirley (Lavon Ainsworth); his children, Jimmie Jr. (Rebecca Evans), Felisha Alcala and Edgar (Alycia Evans); and his grandchildren, Gary, Lewis, Miah, Mikey, Dianna, Rebecca Grace, Brittanie and Blair Shae.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at 5049 LA-118, Florien, LA 71429. A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Pleasant Hill Cemetery fund or Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
